Workshop Description

The workshop consists of a workout based mainly on elements of boxing and of the basic training for athletes, simple, dynamic and natural movements that help to develop strength and control, as well as pushing endurance to its limits. Next, participants will learn an excerpt of a choreography that demands speed, precision and coordination of original movements.

Louise Lecavalier

Born in Montreal, Louise Lecavalier joined La La La Human Steps in the early 1980s and went on to perform in each of the company’s productions up until 1999. As the company’s icon and luminary for nearly two decades, she embodied dance on the outer edge, performing with passion and unrestrained generosity. She occasionally gives training sessions and master classes in Canada and in Europe, all the while working on creative projects as an independent dancer or as part of her company, Fou glorieux, a flexible work structure created in 2006. Louise Lecavalier is presently touring her two latest productions, So Blue and Mille batailles.
