The Sursaut dance company, based in Sherbrooke (Kchi Nikitawtegwak) and specializing in dance for young audiences, is seeking dancers of all backgrounds to serve as understudies for the show *Printemps marmelade* as well as for future productions.

In particular, we are looking for an artist who identifies as male and is able to dance in high heels. Those wishing to apply for this role should please bring high heels. Additionally, candidates for this role must be available on the following dates:

October 7, 8, 9, 2026: rehearsals
October 11, 2026: performance
October 22, 23, 2026: rehearsals
October 25, 26, 27, 2026: performances
April 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 2027: tour to be confirmed

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AUDITION

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have solid training in contemporary dance, stage experience, and demonstrate versatility in movement and theatricality.

Applications must include a resume, a photo, and a short video clip of a performance (2 minutes max.) via a video link (YouTube, Vimeo)

Important: Most of the company’s rehearsals take place in Sherbrooke (kchi Nikitawtegwak).

The company provides lodging during work periods and reimburses travel expenses for performers from outside the region.
