Summer Dance Camp

camp de danse compagnie de danse Sursaut

The aim of the summer dance day camp is to stimulate young people’s creativity through the art of movement. The week-long camp is for children 6 years and older and takes place the first week of July. 2019 will mark the 14th edition of the camp.

The camp offers various workshops that allow participants to explore different styles of dance and to become familiar with movement in all its forms. Building on this physical preparation, the creative process is then emphasized. Parallel to these workshops that directly involve the body, participants will take part in art workshops, in particular for the creation of props and accessories.

Throughout the week, participants are helped to develop their own movements and to create short choreographies that are then presented in front of friends and family on the last day of the camp.

A link to the video of the final presentation will be sent to all participants after the camp.

THE SUMMER DANCE CAMP takes place at:
Centre des arts de la scène Jean-Besré
250, rue du Dépôt, Sherbrooke
