This contemporary dance workshop invites students to reflect on their place in a group and to explore their personal emotions and challenges through movement. Inspired by the themes of the production Printemps marmelade—identity, power relations, the search for self, and social cohesion—the workshop can be offered as a complement to the show or on its own. It offers a reflection on the impact of each individual in a group and on the effects of our actions on one another.

Accompanied by an artist, the teenagers will take part in a series of individual and group exercises to connect with their own bodies, relate to others, and experience how movement can convey an emotion or an inner state. The workshop also encourages reflection on social cohesion through body language.

The artist will present a short choreographed excerpt to illustrate and support the concepts explored in the exercises.

A playful and accessible dance sequence will then be taught to the students, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the role of performer.

The workshop will conclude with a discussion about the profession of dancer, addressing its many facets, from artistic work to everyday reality. Students will thus have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the world of dance and discover the different dimensions of this practice.
