The goal of this class is to warm up the dancer’s body and provide physical training through various exercises and movement sequences in space and on the floor. Drawing from her background in contemporary dance, circus, classical dance, yoga, and tai chi, as well as training routines developed over the years, Elise Legrand offers a class that combines different elements to maximize body openness and preparation. Particular attention is paid to the circulation of energy in the body, the trajectory of impulse, and the awakening of joints across different possible movement fields and textures. She aims to create a space for dancers to connect with their bodies in motion, within an atmosphere of openness, trust, and enjoyment.
