Fabien Piché’s class focuses on principles of floor work and interconnections within a group to develop a collective awareness of movement in a positive and contagious energy. Gently referencing the principles of Flying Low developed by David Zambrano, but not limited to them, participants will be encouraged to deploy their bodies in short sequences that combine the quest for precision, speed, and ease. All within a context that aims for joy and inclusion.
About Fabien
Fabien grew up in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region and completed his training at the École de danse de Québec in 2010. Since then, he has worked as a performer and creative collaborator on various dance and theater projects and explored interdisciplinary performance in polymorphic projects that question intimacy and connections with others.
In the fall of 2022, he trained in Flying Low and Passing Through with David Zambrano at the Tictac Art Centre. He occasionally teaches as a guest instructor at the École de danse de Québec and the École de cirque de Québec. His creative journey is rooted in a playful and sensitive context, while fostering the quest for interconnections. He has a particular affection for crafting, cosmic reflections, and collective dialogues.
