Stéphanie Brochard

Performer and choreographer, Stéphanie Brochard likes to navigate many universes; contemporary dance, dance-theatre, Baroque, and clown. Native of France she studied at the Conservatory of the Région d’Angers, then continued her dance studies at the École de danse de Québec and obtained her diploma from the teaching programme at the National Ballet School in Toronto. Teaching has become one of Stephanie’s strong points. She also completed a programme at the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, where she was introduced to new horizons, that have since then, become part and parcel of her artistic palette.
In 2008, she joined the Sursaut Dance Company as a performer. Since, she has participated in all the companies’ productions, and since 2011, also assumes the role of Assistant to the Artistic Director. In 2015 she created Me2, a production for adolescents.
Stephanie also performs for Les Jardins Chorégraphiques, a Baroque dance company from Montreal, and since 2018, she is also their Co-Artistic Director.
