Origen is a physical and mental training developed by Paco Ziel and Diana León with the aim of opening the senses and living the subjectivity of time from a transdisciplinary perception, focused on improving the performance of the stage.
Through intimate listening and attention management, the goal is to stimulate individual and collective latent forces, bringing each participant closer together of its own origin and the origins of the movement. Natural cycles are taken as trigger points to dive into the interdependence of the life around us and the development of the language of each person’s movement is encouraged, without imposing a specific aesthetic.
The class is designed gradually, starting from simple concepts to which layers are added to reach a high level of complexity. Some of the aspects in which we work are breathing, concentration, improvisation, agility, motion textures, soil, contact work (partnership) and movement phrases. Origen has been shared nationally and internationally for professional dance programs and transdisciplinary educational contexts.
