Rodrigo Alvarenga-Bonilla begins dancing at the age of five, joining a Salvadorian folk dance ensemble. Through his contact with youth centers, he is introduced to urban dance. In 2010, he begins taking class at Studio Party Time in Quebec, and joins the PNT Dance Company in 2012. In 2013, he starts the group MARVL. He is presently touring across Quebec with the show Jam. A recent graduate of the Montreal Contemporary Dance School, Rodrigo continues to develop his own personal style, a mix of urban, contemporary and acrobatic. He collaborates with different companies and choreographers, and also works on certain projects with the Cirque du Soleil. In the fall of 2019, he joined the Sursaut Dance Company for the production Me2.
