Nancy Letendre

Since 1997, Nancy Letendre has been pursuing a career as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Although she works primarily in contemporary dance, she explores other styles of dance and training, to develop and maintain a wide movement vocabulary. She has a bachelor of education degree in dance from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and teaches dance to all age groups. She is interested in multidisciplinary collaborations for her creations and has worked with artists from various backgrounds, such as music, visual arts, circus, slam and storytelling. Nancy Letendre has been with the Sursaut Dance Company since 2002. She has performed in Les excentriques, Family Portrait, Casse-Noisettes et le Roi des Rats and Les meilleurs moments/The Best of Sursaut. She is part of the cast of At nightfall since 2006.

The Nutcracker and the King of the Rats

(1994) In this original and contemporary adaptation of the seasonal classic, the story of Clara and her Nutcracker takes place in mid-20th century in a humble family in the vast Quebec countryside
